Jayson Tatum was interviewed postgame after the Celtics’ 102-96 loss vs the Chicago Bulls. Tatum spoke about playing against former teammate Daniel Theis, the Bulls’ stellar defense, and what a tough night it was for him scoring the ball.
This was the first time Theis had played the Celtics since being traded at the trade deadline. Tatum was asked about what it felt like going up against him. “Sad to see him on the other side but you know I’m always happy for him,” he said. “I got nothing but love for that guy.”
He also talked about the Bulls’ defense in this one. Chicago was playing with some great physicality and it clearly took a toll on the C’s. “I got to give them credit, they did a great job tonight of defending,” Tatum said.
The superstar finished the game shooting only 3-17 from the field. He was asked about his struggles postgame. “Just a tough night,” he said. “One of those nights you wish you got back.”
